This year, our CEO Pal Bhusate took part in a panel session discussing the outcome of the Nuffield Trust report on digital transformation in acute care, where she shared her views on how disruptive innovations from other industries and spaces are proving to change the face of future medicine. As she mentioned in her speech:
“We live in a world where we can order pizza on our phones, and track where it is on the road, how hot it is, who is bringing it to me, when they’ll arrive, and tell them to come another route because the road is closed – all with the press of a button on the phones in our pockets… yet today our Doctors and Nurses can’t do the same with sick patients in ambulances. To us, this is the wrong way round – it’s time for us to focus these simple yet effective innovations on healthcare and associated applied sciences.”
